Bye FRidge JC156… this is just the beginning.

  • Bye FRidge

FRidge JC156 is now over; it has been a great cruise from both a scientific and a human point of view. Special thanks to Alessandro Tagliabue (PSO), to all the scientists, engineers, technicians and crew members that have contributed to this successful cruise. We are all expecting great results !

  • Cruise experience shared with students

During the cruise, Alessandro Tagliabue (PSO) was sharing his daily cruise life with students from Banks Road Primary School in Liverpool and Bridgewater High School in Warrington. A lot of Q&A posts are available on Alessandro’s blog:       https://ga13fridge.wordpress.com/blog/

Just arrived in Guadeloupe, Arthur Gourain and myself (Lise Artigue) made a talk in Guadeloupe to a very interested young public in the school Hilarion Léogane, Abymes, Guadeloupe. The objectives of this talk were to present and explain oceanographic sciences, hydrothermal sources and the work done on FRidge JC156. We also tried to inform the children about sea protection in a global and local context. Special thanks to all the great videos of the cruise taken by Shaun Rigby that are very explanatory.

Arthur Gourain (PhD student at Liverpool University, UK) and Lise Artigue (PhD student at Toulouse University, France) at the Hilarion Léogane school, Abymes, Guadeloupe.
